About the Foundation
The Angel C. Palanca Peace Program Foundation, Inc. promotes peace education through various projects and activities. THe foundation conducts seminar workshops on peace education integration for teachers and community based educators, hosts talks and symposia on various peace issues, promotes peace among the youth through its youth arm, Peace To All Youth Organization (Peace TAYO). It also organizes community outreach projects and holds annual arts and essay writing competitions.
Established in 01 October 1998, in honor of Far Eastern University's late chairman, Angel C. Palanca, ACP3FI's vision/mission.
ACP3FI espouses a culture of peace, grounded on a holistic framework, developed by Virginia Cawagas and TohSwee-Hin, UNESCO laureate for Peace Education 2000, focusing on six key issues:
- Cultivating Inner Peace
- Promoting Human Rights
- Living with Justice and Compassion
- Dismantling the Culture of War
- Intercultural Respect, Reconciliation and Solidarity
- Living in Harmony with the Earth
